SCHOLA 2019 conference was held in Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy

schola2019-0SCHOLA 2019, the fifteenth International Scientific Conference on Engineering Pedagogy have been past from 3 to 5 December in Kharkov, Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy.

This international conference aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences in Engineering Pedagogy. The tagline of the SCHOLA 2019 conference is “Engineering pedagogy unites”.

SCHOLA 2019 is organized by Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, DTI University in Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia, Information Society for education and training, Association of Slovak Scientific and Technological Societies, Institute of Vocational Education and Training of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine under the auspices of the International Society of Engineering Pedagogy – IGIP.

In total, 62 participants registered to the conference, who applied 48 submissions, co-authored by 95 scientists from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Italy, Romania and Ukraine. The conference was attended by 19 foreign participants.

During the conference, a plenary session and four breakout sessions were held as well as round tables and workshop:

  1. “Improving teacher education for training in the field of engineering pedagogy and vocational education” in the framework of the Erasmus + PAGOSTE project;
  2. “New pedagogical paradigms in the development of entrepreneurial spirit and creative entrepreneurial skills” within the framework of the British Council Creative Spark project.
  3. Information and Communication Technologies in Undergraduate Education of Technically Educated Teachers.

Participants of the conference had three days of fruitful work and scientific development and also acquired new partners and cultural discoveries.

All submissions have been published in Special Issue of Open Online Journal for Research and Education R&E-SOURCE (Austria).

Next SCHOLA 2020 will be in Bratislava.
